Investors can either choose their own business to invest in or invest in a business through an EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center. If an investor chooses to invest in their own business, they must demonstrate that the business will create or preserve at least 10 full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers. If an investor chooses to invest through a regional center, the business must be associated with the regional center’s approved economic development project and the investor does not need to directly create or preserve the required number of jobs.
